A ceasefire was established on the second day of the anti-terrorist operation launched in Karabakh. Karabakh Armenians agreed to abolish themselves and lay down their arms. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that the ceasefire was achieved with the participation of Russian forces. The ceasefire came into force at 12:00.

The Azerbaijani army announced yesterday that an anti-terrorist operation had been launched in Karabakh.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev revealed Baku’s attitude regarding how long the operation will last. Aliyev said, “If the Armenian armed forces in Karabakh disarm and disarm, anti-terrorism measures will be stopped.” He made the statement.

    A ceasefire was achieved

Karabakh Armenians agreed to be abolished and completely lay down their weapons.

Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense said, “A ceasefire agreement was reached with the participation of Russian peacekeepers. An agreement was reached on the dissolution and complete disarmament of armed formations in Karabakh.” made the statement.

Russian news agency IFAX said, “Karabakh Armenians will meet with Azerbaijani officials tomorrow.”

In the statement made by the Kremlin, Armenia’s criticism of Russia for “not doing enough” was rejected. The Kremlin emphasized, “We are talking about Azerbaijan’s actions on its own territory.”

    STATEMENT FROM ARMENIA

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement on the subject. Ministry Spokesperson said, “Armenians can theoretically live under Azerbaijan, but dialogue is vital. Azerbaijan’s humanitarian corridor proposal is an invitation to ethnic cleansing.”

    ANTITERRORISM OPERATION IN KARABAKH

Later in the operation, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that more than 60 military positions in Karabakh were under the control of Azerbaijani soldiers.

In recent days, the so-called regime has carried out a series of provocations such as getting closer to the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the lands under its control, digging trenches to reinforce its own positions, different fortification activities, and sabotage attempts.

Armenian armed groups have continued to systematically open fire on Azerbaijani army positions and lay mines in the past few months.

Despite the demands from Azerbaijan for the dissolution of the so-called regime, the so-called “presidential election” held on September 9 in the lands controlled by Armenian forces further increased the tension.
