Ecuadorian Interior Minister Juan Zapata announced that 13.6 tons of drugs were seized in raids across the country.
Drug operations were carried out by the police in 8 cities in Ecuador yesterday. In his statement on his social media account, Interior Minister Juan Zapata announced that 13.6 tons of drugs planned to be sent to Central America, the USA and Europe were seized in 42 raids by the Ecuadorian police.
Zapata stated that in the operation called “Gran Jerico 35”, in which 28 people were detained, many weapons, ammunition, cash and mobile phones were also seized.
‘Stating that the Gran Jerico 35″ operation was carried out after a 1-year investigation, Zapata announced that information was exchanged with Mexico, Colombia and the USA during this period.
